Bë Qeqüe Hadfow (/bɛ/ /qeq˔/ [safe] [style; tone]) is a subtropical Small City located in the Skruvnōk Moot of the Rosid.

The name Bë Qeqüe Hadfow is derived from the Goblin language, as Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was founded by Gucun, who was culturaly Wood Elf.

Climate

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow has a yearly average temperature of 7°C (44°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -12°C (11°F). Bë Qeqüe Hadfow receives an average of 259 cm/y (101 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Bë Qeqüe Hadfow covers an area of nearly 8 km2 (3 mi2), and an average elevation of 3028 m (9934 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was founded durring the early 15th century in spring of the year 1421, by Gucun. The establishment of Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Gucun electing to pay people to resettle in Bë Qeqüe Hadfow.

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bë Qeqüe Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow is buildings have been located at convienant points along the hill Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the spacious gravel streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The city is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the city's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Bë Qeqüe Hadfow's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The city's top tier civilian fortifications have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Bë Qeqüe Hadfow ’s existence has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Likely due to this, Bë Qeqüe Hadfow is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a city, and more like a spot people just happened to have homes. One cannot help but wonder what Bë Qeqüe Hadfow was like during the glorydays.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Bë Qeqüe Hadfow's natural decorations nor waterways.

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Cultural Notes

Bë Qeqüe Hadfow's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. Decorative details can incorporate various artistic or exotic motifs to suit the building's function or the architect's whim. Chevrons, zigzags, and other geometrical motifs are common forms of ornament.

In Bë Qeqüe Hadfow there are unidentifiable people in the fog, but it seems to be okay.
